FR 14 Touring Bindings

<p>The ATK Bindings FR 14 touring binding is a must for wider freetouring skis, ideal for downhill ski tourers. It combines the ascent performance of a light pin binding with the stability and power transfer of a frame binding.</p><p>The secret is on the one hand the low weight due to the use of CNC-machined aircraft aluminium and on the other hand the numerous innovative technical details, which in particular eliminate known weak points of the pin concept.</p><p>One of the comfort highlights is certainly the closed front jaw, which makes it almost impossible for the springs to freeze or for dirt and snow to accumulate, and makes getting in super easy even in soft, deeper snow thanks to the defined shoe tip stop on the open locking lever. The closed construction also offers excellent lateral stability on the descent.&nbsp;</p><p>The Freeride Spacer included in the delivery optimizes the performance even further due to the larger contact surface of the shoe sole with the binding plate.</p><p>The F14 comes with integrated crampon holder and magnetic 2-fold climbing aid with no less than five walking positions (flat, +38 mm, +41 mm, +48 mm, +58 mm). So that the ski can flex freely even on uneven terrain without impairing the function of the binding, a length compensation of up to 4 mm through an integrated damping spring in the base plate ensures the best possible contact pressure at all times.&nbsp;</p><p>The length of the binding can be adjusted by up to 25 mm and thus adapted to shoe soles of different lengths.</p><p>ATK Bindings recommends mounting the FR 14 touring binding on skis with medium widths of at least 95 mm up to 135 mm, partly because of the wider drill pattern. The ski weight should be between 1,000 and 1,800 grams.</p>
