FR 15 EVO Ski Touring Binding

<p>The ATK Bindings FR 15 EVO Ski Touring Binding is a must-have for wider backcountry skis and ideal for downhill-oriented skiers with slightly top-heavy body weight. It combines the ascent performance of a lightweight pin binding with the stability and energy transfer of a frame binding.</p><p>Its secret is, on the one hand, the low weight due to the use of CNC-milled aircraft aluminium and, on the other hand, the numerous innovative technical details, which in particular eliminate known weaknesses of the pin concept.</p><p>One of the comfort highlights is undoubtedly the closed-toe piece, which makes it almost impossible for the springs to ice up or dirt and snow to accumulate, and makes entry conceivably easy even in soft, deeper snow, thanks to the defined boot tip stop on the open locking lever. The closed construction also offers excellent lateral stability on the descent.&nbsp;</p><p>With the AL09 Freeride Spacer included in the scope of delivery, the performance is optimised even further, thanks to the larger contact surface of the boot sole with the binding plate. Furthermore, the AL12 adapter, also included, raises the heel unit by 4 mm, improving backcountry skiers’ performance.&nbsp;</p><p>The FR 16 comes with an integrated crampon mount and magnetic 2-position climbing aid with no less than five walking positions (flat, +27.5mm, +30mm, +44mm, +49mm). To ensure that the ski can flex freely even on uneven terrain without impairing the functionality of the binding, a length compensation of up to 4 mm utilizing an integrated damping spring in the base plate ensures the best possible contact pressure at all times.&nbsp;</p><p>The binding can be adjusted by up to 25mm and thus adapted to shoe soles of different lengths. Due to the broader hole pattern, ATK Bindings recommends mounting the FR 16 touring binding on skis with a centre width of at least 95mm up to 135mm. The ski weight should be between 1,000 and 1,800 grams.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
